Challenges: The client envisions this project’s energy-efficient construction and sustainability as a pioneer for future buildings in Honduras.

 Achievements: Currently in construction. We will design the building to utilize several renewable energy sources including methane gas, wind and photovoltaic. HVAC systems will feature a duel fuel (methane/gas) fired chiller utilizing a geothermal heat rejection system. Plans for an ice storage system that will make ice during off peak hours, when utilities are not as stressed and are providing cleaner power. This ice will be used for the chilled water system. We will seek LEED Gold accreditation for the project.
