Depaola Dentist Office, Hoboken NJ
Project Description: New Storefront dentist office in Maxwell Building in Hoboken, NJ.
Size: 4,000 square feet
Challenge: Maximize floor space and maintain high end aesthetic. Minimize poke thru for services to dental equipment.
Achievements: To maximize floor space, ceiling hung water cooled units were used. Ductwork was tightly coordinated with existing beams & piping to maintain high ceilings.
Since space is mostly supplied with linear diffusers due to aesthetic requirements of ceiling, there was a considerable amount of ductwork to be coordinated. All plumbing piping and electrical wiring for dental chairs had to be cleverly designed for distribution to island equipment since poke thru require x-ray scanning of reinforced slab. A thin mudset floor layer was added to bury piping while still maintaining high ceilings. |
