Project Description: New construction of an automotive service facility for vehicles.  Building consists of mechanics bay and municipal administrative offices.

Size: 3,000 square feet

Challenges: Due to constant exhaust and make up air requirements, there are high energy costs associated with heating the makeup air.

Achievements: A “Reclaimed Oil” heating system was designed which uses used motor oil from vehicles to fuel boilers to heat the space.  The savings included energy costs in addition to costs associated with removing used oil.
